COURSE CONTENT


During this WHMIS Course, we cover essential topics to ensure workers are well-prepared to handle hazardous materials safely and confidently. Our course content includes:

  • Recognizing symbols and Hazards: Learn to identify WHMIS symbols and understand the specific hazards they represent for a safer workplace.

  • Understanding Hazard Classes: Gain insight into each hazard class, including their potential risks and impacts on health and safety.

  • Using Safety Data Sheets (SDS): Learn to locate and interpret critical hazard and protective measure information on SDS for proper handling and emergency preparedness.

  • Employer and Worker Responsibilities: Understand your role in maintaining compliance with WHMIS 2015 and ensuring a safe work environment.

  • Preventative and Protective Measures: Discover practical strategies for controlling risks and reducing exposure to hazardous substances.

This comprehensive course ensures participants leave with the knowledge and skills needed to maintain a safe and compliant workplace, meeting both WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) standards.

Participants must wear appropriate clothing, as well as CSA-certified head, foot, and eye protection. We ask that you bring your own personal protective equipment (PPE) and that it is maintained and in good working order per the manufacturer’s specifications and regulatory requirements.
