COURSE CONTENT
Power Elevated Work Platform (PEWP) Training, participants will gain the knowledge and practical skills needed to operate scissor lifts, aerial lifts, and other elevated work platforms safely and effectively. Course content includes:
Workplace Inspection Checklist: Learn how to conduct thorough workplace inspections to identify and address potential hazards before operations begin.
Pre-Start Equipment Inspections: Understand the critical steps for inspecting PEWP equipment to ensure it is safe and ready for use.
Safety Rules and Regulations: Gain in-depth knowledge of industry safety standards, including compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and CSA standards for elevated platforms.
Hazard Identification and Control: Master the skills to identify workplace hazards and implement effective control measures to minimize risk.
Safe Operation Techniques: Participate in hands-on training to practice safe operation of equipment, including maneuvering, load management, and platform stability.
Proficiency Demonstration: Complete a practical assessment to demonstrate your ability to operate equipment confidently and competently under real-world conditions.

Participants must wear appropriate clothing, as well as CSA-certified head, foot, and eye protection. We ask that you bring your own personal protective equipment (PPE) and that it is maintained and in good working order per the manufacturer’s specifications and regulatory requirements.
