Emergency First Aid Training is a dynamic one-day course that equips participants with essential First Aid and CPR skills for the workplace or home. Designed to meet Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations, this course provides an in-depth overview of the latest First Aid and CPR guidelines, including CPR Level C and AED (Automated External Defibrillation) training. Through hands-on practice and expert instruction, participants gain the confidence and knowledge to respond effectively in emergencies.
Upon completion, participants earn a three-year certification in Emergency First Aid, CPR Level A, C, or HCP, and AED. Whether you're an individual looking to enhance your life-saving skills or a workplace meeting compliance requirements (mandatory for workplaces with 1-5 employees), this course delivers the training you need to be prepared when it matters most.
COURSE CONTENT
During our Emergency First Aid Training, participants will learn the critical skills needed to respond effectively to medical emergencies at work, home, or in the community. This one-day course provides hands-on training and expert guidance on essential first aid practices. Course content includes:
Preparing for Emergencies: Understand how to assess situations, prioritize actions, and confidently provide care during emergencies.
Recognizing Mental Health Emergencies: Learn how to identify and respond to mental health crises with sensitivity and support.
CPR and AED Use: Master lifesaving CPR techniques and the operation of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for adults, children, and infants.
Bleeding and Burn Management: Gain the skills to control bleeding, treat burns, and prevent further injury.
Breathing and Circulation Emergencies: Learn to respond to choking, shock, and other life-threatening emergencies involving breathing or circulation.
First Aid for Respiratory and Cardiac Arrest: Practice critical interventions to provide care during respiratory and cardiac arrest.
Wound Care: Understand proper techniques for cleaning, dressing, and caring for wounds to promote healing and prevent infection.
This course meets Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and provides a three-year certification upon completion. Perfect for both workplace and personal use, it equips participants with the confidence and skills to act quickly and effectively in any emergency.
Participants must wear appropriate clothing, as well as CSA-certified head, foot, and eye protection. We ask that you bring your own personal protective equipment (PPE) and that it is maintained and in good working order per the manufacturer’s specifications and regulatory requirements.
