COURSE CONTENT
During our Respirator Fit Testing Training, participants will gain essential knowledge to ensure proper respirator fit and safe usage in the workplace. This training is designed to comply with CSA Standard Z94.4 and helps protect workers from hazardous airborne substances. Course content includes:
Preparation for Fit Testing: Learn the importance of avoiding smoking, eating, or drinking (except water) for at least 20 minutes before testing to ensure accurate results.
Clean Shaven Requirement: Understand why being clean-shaven is critical for achieving a proper respirator seal and ensuring maximum protection.
Respirator Selection: Gain insight into choosing the right type of respirator—N95, half-mask, or full-face—to suit specific workplace hazards.
Inspection and Maintenance: Learn how to inspect respirators for damage, clean them properly, and store them safely to extend their usability.
Fit and Seal Testing: Participate in hands-on fit testing to confirm the effectiveness of the respirator and ensure it provides the required protection.
Workplace Application: Understand the scenarios in which respirators are necessary, such as protection from airborne particles, chemicals, or biohazards, including COVID-19.
This training ensures participants are equipped to use respirators safely and effectively, providing critical protection in environments where exposure to hazardous substances is a concern. Certification is provided upon successful completion, meeting workplace safety standards and regulatory compliance.
