This Lockout and Tagout (LOTO) training program reviews the safety procedures that prevent accidental startup of machinery and equipment during maintenance or servicing. Compliance with LOTO regulations is crucial to safeguarding employees and preventing accidents.
Overview
During this course we will review and discuss the following topics:
Review the construction and industrial regulations governing lockout/tagout.
Performing an investigation of past incidents to determine which regulations were violated
Formulation of a policy and procedure to prevent recurrence.
Exposure to numerous lockout/tagout devices.
Hands-on lockout/tagout procedures
Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Participants must wear appropriate clothing, as well as CSA-certified head, foot, and eye protection. We ask that you bring your own personal protective equipment (PPE) and that it is maintained and in good working order per the manufacturer’s specifications and regulatory requirements.
